Foreign ownership of Ohio farmland has been on the rise. Here’s the data

From 2012 to 2017, foreign investors were purchasing U.S. farmland at a rate of about 600,000 acres per year, the report said.

“Since 2017, foreign held farmland in the US has more than doubled, with nearly 2.9 million acres being acquired annually by foreign investors,” the report reads.
